Store Policies

Commissions

I am happy to accept custom work. Please reach out for a consultation to see if I can assist you with your ideas! The consultation is free, but prior to any design work, I will require a service agreement and a non-refundable $100 fee for the designs. Once a design has been approved, please note that I will require 25% of the quoted cost or the cost of materials, whichever is greater, as a non-refundable fee that will be subtracted from the total due upon completion.

Shipping

I will be offering free standard shipping in the U.S. on all jewelry pieces via USPS Priority Mail. I will also offer premium (at customer’s cost) overnight shipping via USPS Priority Express Mail. All shipped items will be fully insured and come with tracking! Sculptural items will be subject to handling charges and full shipping expense to the customer as they will require specialized packaging and may require freight shipping.

It is up to the customer to verify the correct shipping address! I am not held responsible for an item that is shipped to an incorrectly entered address. If the error is mine, I will take full responsibility.

Refunds and Returns

I am not accepting returns or refunds unless the item is damaged during shipping or other extenuating circumstances arise. Additionally, if your item does not fit, I will gladly work with you to either resize or exchange the item! Please contact me if you have questions. I would like to add that this rule applies to items from my portfolio page as well. These are unique, non-production items with extensive time and labor involved in their creation, which renders them non-refundable and non-returnable unless the previously stated return criteria are met.

Jewelry Care

All jewelry will gradually change over time as the surface finishes are non-permanent: bone-white and liver-of-sulfur will fade and scratch, and silver itself will tarnish over time. Some will deteriorate and change more quickly than others. Please take this into account when purchasing jewelry, as for some this may be detrimental to the piece, and for others such as myself, it is a testament to the history I have with my jewelry.

This is a general guide to jewelry cleaning, but before doing anything, ensure the procedure is compatible with the surface finish of your item. If at any point you do not feel comfortable cleaning your jewelry or have questions, do not hesitate to reach out!

Safe for all finishes that I offer:

If you would like to clean your jewelry, I recommend gently washing it by hand with warm water and a small amount of dish soap. Try not to scrub particularly hard as the pressure may begin to alter the surface finish. A q-tip or soft toothbrush can also aid in gently cleaning your piece in hard to reach areas. Gently pat dry with a clean towel.

Steel Jewelry

After gently washing with the method above, steel jewelry must be protected with either an oil or wax to ensure corrosion does not begin to affect the piece. I recommend a food safe mineral oil or a baby oil, and use a clean blue shop towel or cotton cloth to apply a thin layer periodically on the jewelry. If you prefer wax, I recommend Renaissance Wax, but be sure to wear nitrile gloves when applying as it can sometimes cause irritation before it sets and is buffed back. If you apply wax, allow it to set fully over the course of several minutes, and then using a blue shop cloth or clean cotton rag, buff it back until it is smooth and polished. If you have any questions, please reach out and I am happy to assist!

Base silver finishes and bone-white only:

Important: this can damage and remove liver-of-sulfur (black) patinas!

If tarnish is building up or there is discoloration, you can use a tarnish remover such as Tarn-x. Please follow the guidelines for safety precautions on the bottle! Apply small amounts of Tarn-x to the jewelry surface with a q-tip. Gently move the liquid around and do not scrub. Then thoroughly rinse the jewelry with water. Another option is to dunk your jewelry in the liquid and then rinse the jewelry. After either, gently pat dry with a clean towel. Be sure to properly dispose of all items used in this process and thoroughly wash your hands.

Warranties and Repair

I stand behind my craftsmanship, and guarantee proper function and wear under normal use. I do not guarantee it against damage or events outside of normal wear and tear. If your jewelry is damaged at some point throughout its life with you, I am happy to help repair it if it can be done. If you need repairs, please contact me and I will see how I can assist you!
