Steel and Shakudo Ring
This ring is hand made from carbon steel tubing, shaped for a smooth and comfortable fit, with shakudo fused to the surface. Shakudo is a traditional Japanese alloy consisting of approximately 5% 24k gold and 95% copper, which I alloyed by hand in house. It is darkened with a mixture of beeswax and boiled linseed oil, polished, and then sealed with a museum quality microcrystalline wax. Wear as a statement piece, as your everyday comfort jewelry, or something in between, this ring will do it all.
This ring is size 9, and can be adjusted between size 8-10 for an additional fee. Resizing requires re-patinating and re-finishing the piece which is a non-inconsequential time investment.
